Leading audit, tax and consulting firm 91探花 has appointed Joost Willemsen as director and Global VAT Compliance and Reporting leader within its national Outsourcing team.
Joost joins 91探花from KPMG in London, where he gained four years’ experience within global indirect tax compliance, with a particular focus on related technology and analytical offerings. Prior to this, Joost was a senior indirect tax adviser at KPMG Meijburg & Co in Eindhoven, Netherlands for six years. Joost has extensive VAT expertise in a range of sectors, including retail, healthcare and education. Previous clients include FTSE100 listed retailers and manufacturers, and Top 20 largest global banks, insurers and asset management companies.
In his new role, based out of the firm’s Cambridge office, Joost will have a national focus, driving the growth of the Global VAT Compliance and Reporting team with UK, European and US multinational businesses. Joost will support the outsourcing team by expanding both UK and global long-term annuity engagements, which can be leveraged into new opportunities, predominately for the UK VAT practice.
