About Alex Hire
Alex Hire is a FCCA accountant who trained and qualified with RSM.
With over 23 years’ experience, Alex specialises in risk management, governance and internal control.
Her expertise lies in the not-for-profit public sector, including the NHS, education, charities and social housing. In particular, she has a keen interest in academy trusts and leads on internal audit services for the sector. Alex is the National Relationship Lead for the partnership with the Confederation of School Trusts, ensuring that our expertise and support are coordinated and shared across their membership.
Alex has particular expertise in the development of risk management and assurance frameworks. She has been involved in advisory assignments across various clients, working with merging organisations and those with limited exposure to internal audit to improve their control, risk and governance processes.
She is also the Regional Wellbeing Ambassador Lead for the north-west region.

Alex has two teenagers and spends most of her time chauffeuring them. In her spare time, Alex enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends and pets. She also volunteers as a school governor.
