About Alistair Hynd
Alistair Hynd is a corporate finance partner with over 20 year’s experience in the banking and advisory sectors. He leads RSM’s project finance, modelling and valuation service line. His particular focus is on helping clients solve complex business problems, providing analytical insight, decision support tools for business and strategic planning, as well as advice on commercial and financial options, capital structuring and fund raising.
He works for a wide range of blue-chip clients and has particular experience in the UK infrastructure and government sectors.
Alistair has been involved in the PPP/PFI market since its inception and has extensive experience advising clients on novel and ground-breaking procurements and commercial structures. His experience includes five years working in the capital structuring team at a major European investment bank and he has a sharp understanding of credit, debt capacity and financial instruments.
Since joining RSM, to develop its project finance and financial modelling offer, Alistair has played a leading role in the development and promotion of financial modelling good practice, publishing guidance and Alistair is author of ICAEW Corporate finance faculty best practice guideline on financial modelling and a member of ICAEW’s IT faculty Excel community advisory committee. He is also a participant in Chicago Booth Business School international leadership executive education programme.
