About Andrew Robinson
Andrew Robinson is committed to ensuring that his clients manage effectively their tax costs and risks. Drawing on his experience of two decades working in tax, Andrew focuses on advising privately owned businesses and not for profit organisations, in particular charities and housing associations, on matters such as tax efficient business and ownership structures, maximising the benefit of available tax allowances and reliefs, structuring corporate, business and property transactions, fundraising and adherence to relevant tax regulatory requirements.
Andrew has been involved in sizeable, complex research and development tax credit claims requiring detailed negotiations with HM Revenue and Customs. He has also helped put in place tax-efficient profit extractions strategies for owner-managed businesses, and advised on numerous exit arrangements including management buy-outs, private equity investments and listings. Andrew has advised on complex housing regeneration schemes, and has put in place structures to ensure that his charity clients are able to benefit from the various charity tax exemptions, most notably in relation to the disposal by a sizable charity of its head office in London and subsequent relocation.
Andrew has presented at the Charity Finance Group’s annual conference and the National Housing Federation’s finance conference. He is a treasurer of a local charity.
