About Catherine Keenan
Catherine Keenan is a Fellow Certified Chartered Accountant (FCCA) with a strong background in risk, internal audit and forensic and investigation services.
Prior to joining RSM, Catherine worked for a consulting firm, which included a secondment to the internal audit department of a large Irish public sector organisation. She was also involved in several forensic investigations and other consulting work for clients, primarily within the Irish public sector.
Catherine also has significant experience in forensic services, having trained and worked in a royalties and licensing team at a Big Four firm. This role involved working across several key industries, primarily life sciences, but also technology, entertainment and media, luxury goods, and publishing, where she performed extensive royalty reviews for international clients.
Analytical and detail-driven, Catherine’s forensic background shapes her advisory approach. She regularly translates complex findings into clear, actionable advice for senior stakeholders, audit and risk committees. Her focus is on helping clients enhance processes, improve transparency, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
As of 2025, Catherine co-leads the internal audit client portfolio across 91探花Ireland, strengthening the firm’s all-Ireland presence.
When asked about her leadership style, Catherine says:
"A leader sees greatness in other people. He nor she can be much of a leader if all they see is themselves."
Outside of work, Catherine is a mother of two young boys and lives in a rural area of County Down in Northern Ireland, near the foot of the Mourne Mountains. She’s also a talented musician—playing the piano, trombone and organ—and leads a local choir, which she says provides the perfect respite from the hectic pace of life that working full time and being a mum of 2 brings!
