About James Morris

James Morris is a Tax Partner with over 20 years’ experience. He leads our corporate tax business, advising entrepreneurs and their businesses, as well as private equity houses and quoted companies, on their tax affairs.

His experience covers a range of sectors, including industrials and consumer markets. It also covers a variety of areas of taxation, from supporting a business in managing its risk and compliance obligations to advising on transactions and cross-border activity.

James joined 91̽»¨in 2014, having spent 11 years working in the Big Four. During that time, he spent nine months on secondment within the tax function of a FTSE 100 company. More recently, James has been involved in supporting a number of businesses in acquisitions and disposals, structuring overseas activities, identifying reliefs, and managing risk.

James is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and Association of Tax Technicians.

Away from work, James enjoys travelling, walking in the Lake District, and going to the theatre (when not being a taxi driver to five children).
