About James Simpson
James Simpson is an Audit Director based in our London office and has over ten years’ experience collaborating with the financial services team to support our clients with their professional advisory needs.
He has worked with private equity funds, fund managers and businesses regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), including proprietary and forex traders and market makers.
He has significant experience in the complexities and judgements required in the valuation of investments and International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation (IPEV) guidelines, as well as a detailed knowledge of operations in firms regulated by the FCA and Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
James prides himself on developing strong client relationships and working collaboratively with management to support their requirements.
He has significant experience in financial reporting, including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Financial Reporting Standard (FRS) 102 and FRS 101 accounting standards.
When asked what he enjoys about his job, James says:
''I take real satisfaction in working with clients and colleagues to provide them the support needed to succeed and overcome any challenges they face.''
Outside of work, James spends his time trying to keep pace with his partner and two young daughters. Alongside this, James is a Southampton FC supporter, loves camping and any outdoor activity with the family, and enjoys looking after his marine aquarium.
